I was a relatively early investor in the company, and, during my initial call with Fawn (after learning she’d founded this company and doggedly tracking her down!), I asked if she’d allow me to help her tell this story. It’s a story, as with her, that floored me, when I first read of it in in the NY Times in 2016. Well...since that first bottle, 5 years ago, Fawn and the Uncle Nearest team have gone on to build - HELLO!!! - the fastest-growing American whiskey brand in U.S. history and the most award-winning American whiskey (including bourbon) of 2019, 2020 & 2021. And they ain’t done yet…not by a long shot. As well, a portion of sales proceeds go toward a foundation that provides scholarship monies to descendants of the man himself. That’s only just.
