Excitement, for the world to finally see what we all had so much fun creating. Anxiousness, not knowing how said world will receive it. Pride, knowing that I busted my hump to make this thing the best it can be. Frustration, knowing there are people out there who purposefully want us to fail. Joy, hearing all the incredibly kind things folks are already saying about it. Exhaustion, winding down from a month of full send publicity. And last, but absolutely most, gratitude. Gratitude that I was chosen for this role. Gratitude for the incredible family that was chosen around me. Gratitude for the genuine love that we all share with one another. Gratitude for all the support we received on the first film. And gratitude that all that support, from YOU, meant we got to do it AGAIN! Sequels aren’t guaranteed. Even very successful films don’t always get to run it back. So the fact that we, the Shazamily, were reunited to stir up this pot of magic once more, is just a dream come true ON TOP of a dream that was already a blessed reality. So, thank you. Thank you for believing in @shazammovie 4 years ago, and for continuing to believe in it now. I genuinely believe we made a film that’s even better than the first, and the first was really good! 💃 I hope y’all have the opportunity to go out and see Shazam: Fury of the Gods this weekend. It would really mean a lot. And if not this weekend, at some point soon. It’s got heart, humor, action, adventure, family, drama, and that wonderful touch of the macabre that brings the stakes to our journey. It’s a movie for all of us. Truly.
