I just watched the last 8 eps of #NorthernExposure, the ones after I left. I had never seen them. The show holds up well without Fleischman, because it was about something much bigger then any one character… I loved the last montage sequence of the final ep with “Our Town” song by Iris Dement underneath elegiac shots of Cicely and those lovable unique characters who lived (and will always live) there. What struck me is that it didn’t feel dated. One day the folks at Universal will realize they are sitting on a treasure and allow it to stream for new audiences and old.
