Lol.🙃 So I was in a relationship that was very unhealthy for quite a while. I stayed in it because I felt a lot of shame. It was failing and I didn't want anyone to know that. I thought if I gave more and did more, things would get better. It didn't. It got worse. I didn't want to give up. I've never been a quitter. But by staying, I was losing myself. My mental health was going downhill. That's when I knew I had to get out of it. What I didn't realize was by ending the relationship, I wasn't giving up or quitting, and I wasn’t at fault. I was just choosing myself and loving myself first. I put so much effort into someone else that I forgot about me. Things were rough at times but I've learned a lot. I've grown from it and I'm really glad I had those experiences. I'm in such a better place mentally and life is good. I love my job. It's been so fun. That being said, it took me about a year to get over the enormous guilt of totally giving up professional golf (for now). I felt like I was letting my family down. But I'm so happy with what I'm doing now and they support me so much. So here's your sign to leave whatever is weighing you down. Drop the baggage. Don't let shame and guilt get in the way of living your best life! Pursue your passions. Do what brings light into your life and those around you.
