Sam (@thereshegoesagn) says she “never really thought about” the difference between being Asian and Asian-American until moving to South Korea 🧳✈️🌏
“I may not be Korean, but because I’m Chinese, I blended in enough that I was part of the majority and suddenly experiencing all sorts of comforts I’d never had before,” she shares this #AAPI heritage month. “It really made me reflect on privilege, ethnicity vs. nationality and, in a weird way, made me feel even more American than I had growing up in Pennsylvania.”
