ドウェイン・ジョンソンさんのインスタグラム動画 - (ドウェイン・ジョンソンInstagram)「Sunday Q&A: question was “How do I separate the noise from valuable criticism that’s worthy of my attention?” Great question ‼️👏🏾 Here’s two examples I’ve experienced that taught me some great lessons, that sharpened my tools in differentiating the two. 1) Me and my buddy @joerogan Not only were we texting each other and shaking our heads while all that noise was going down a year or so ago - but the lesson was realizing that toxic noise makers actually don’t care about finding resolve or having meaningful dialogue that gets us to a good place of understanding one another. The noise makers, just want the attention and the clicks — then a week later they’ll move on to the next person or thing they can attach to - just to make more noise. 2) the first 6 months of my rookie career in @WWE. Every arena across the country went from chanting “ROCKY” to “ROCKY SUCKS”. Fun times 😅 Everyone told me “Rock just ignore the negativity and keep smiling”. Well the more I smiled, the louder the Rocky Sucks chants got. I was in a real bad place mental health wise and ready to throw in the towel and quit WWE. One of my wrestling mentors, Pat Patterson said to me, “They’re not chanting Rocky Sucks every night because they don’t like you. They’re chanting Rocky Sucks because you’re not being yourself… Be YOU. The next time you go out in the that arena, be 100% Dwayne Johnson, The Rock” That’s exactly what I did. And the rest is history. And for me, that lesson☝🏾is two fold— I’ll always be me and always be real And sometimes what can appear to be monumental noise, is actually invaluable criticism that is very worthy of your time. Trust your gut and listen to it. One last thing to take with you/ Haters can’t break what they didn’t build.
