The Princess Royal meets 103 year old Dr William Frankland at a Garden Party for veterans from the Not Forgotten Association.

Dr Frankland, a former Japanese Prisoner of War during the Second World War, worked with Alexander Fleming in the 1950s in the development of penicillin.

The Princess Royal is Patron of the Not Forgotten Association, who provide leisure and recreation for injured serving and ex-service personnel.
