"As soon as I walked inside the tent and saw #Slayer's guitarist #KerryKing blasting out notes on his customized guitar, I knew it was gonna be a wild experience. Photographers were limited to shooting one song, so after getting escorted out of the photo pit, I tried to make my way to the front hoping to get a wide shot of the band, but not realizing the mayhem that was waiting ahead. It was the wildest mosh pit I've ever seen. I tried to capture as much as I could without getting my head knocked off and my gear destroyed. As Slayer continued to increase the intensity on stage, the mosh pit just kept getting bigger and wider, turning into a massive hurricane of people crashing against one another. Sweat flying all over the place. Bodies smashing against the ground. Everyone was fair game. I had never seen anything like it and don't think I will for a long time. But I can honestly say the Slayer show was one of the most intense and best shows I've shot in a long time.” As told to @Rolling Stone by photographer @theonepointeight.
