“All good music should tell a story.” That’s the philosophy behind the beautifully brooding builds of Berlin’s deep house duo Tale of Us (@taleofus). To capture their journeys, members Karm Conte and Matteo Milleri often team up with photographer friends. Their manager has also developed some “serious” smartphone picture skills over the years. Back in Germany, they hone these sights, sounds and experiences into sonic snapshots – though they still find time to record on tour, too, sometimes while flying from place to place. “Being in the air is somehow stimulating for us,” the pair says in a joint email interview. “As you can imagine, we spend a lot of time in planes so we’re pretty glad about that.” – Kat Bein for Instagram @music
