The Aurora Borealis may drift as far south as Iowa and Penn. tonight, as a severe solar storm continues to hit Earth. NOAA says a potent blast of magnetic plasma shot out of the sun on Sunday, travelling faster than usual, hitting Earth with the biggest solar storm since at least March -- perhaps since Sept. 2005.
