#tbt - As part of the original Art and Technology program at LACMA (1967–1971), Öyvind Fahlström devised on installation based on images and characters from an underground comic, which he titled "Meatball Curtain (for R. Crumb)." Working with sign maker Heath and Company, Fahlström created freestanding silhouette shapes that retained the flatness of paintings, allowing them to be rearranged in variable tableaux. Archival images of this piece are on view in "From the Archives," in the Ahamanson Building, level 2. #lacma #ArtPlusTech
