Happy 75th birthday to Chuck Close, known for his photorealistic paintings. Early in his career Close photographed black-and-white portraits and reproduced them in large scale on canvas. This work is a reinterpretation of one of those paintings featuring Close's friend, the composer Philip Glass. This version of "Phil" was created as part of a portfolio of artworks made with rubber stamps produced by Parasol Press and the MoMA Publications Department.
