Happiness is a newborn puppy... Or eight!??? Say hello to Libby and The Libertinis! (killer band name, I know)? We picked this pregnant mama up off the street three days ago and named her Liberty (it was 4th of July!) which turned out to be a huge mistake - she took off immediately in search for freedom? We've been frantically looking for her since and got a call this morning; turns out Libby gave birth to eight healthy puppies in the dirt under a trailer, five minutes away from our house. Luckily, now the whole family is back in safety!
The puppies are a day old and just about the cutest little things we've ever seen. Six boys, two girls. Three are chocolate brown and five are black, and one little guy has five legs!! Can you believe it?? Five legs! He's a magic puppy and we've named him Lennon. I want to keep them all already (don't worry, I won't)... Props to @dennisfromsalad for bypassing his super strict rule of only allowing one rescue dog in the house at a time and welcoming NINE! These next months are going to be crazy. 12 dogs in the house!
