Here's a little morning U.S. History lesson for some of you that might have snoozed through the 8th grade.. Whether you want to believe it or not. From the Top Brass Generals to 15 year old draftees, Every Single one of the 620,000 Troops killed in the Civil War was an American citizen. All different colors and creeds. From All different beliefs and religions. They all died for a cause under the Red, White, and Blue banner.
The Confederate Battle Flag was used by some of these boys in the South to distinguish them in the front lines of the Civil War battlefield.
Don't be fooled into false History by Media Manipulating pussies. They like to think that Lincoln was this "God Like" figure that swooped down across the Mason Dixon line and unshackled All the slaves to freedom.
That was Not the case. Below I have attached some quotes from Lincoln's Inaugural Address from Monday, March 4, 1861.. "I have no purpose, directly or indirectly, to interfere with the institution of slavery in the States where it exists. I believe I have no lawful right to do so, and I have no inclination to do so." "No person held to service or labor in one State, under the laws thereof, escaping into another, shall in consequence of any law or regulation therein be discharged from such service or labor, but shall be delivered up on claim of the party to whom such service or labor may be due." I know if you have read this far You are probably shocked to learn that Slavery DID Exist under Lincoln and there was even Slaves in the North!! Crazy!! So When you see a Confederate flag in the future maybe you should think about the American lives that were lost to defend it. Not about what some politician trying to make a name for themselves says.
I'm going to join a Civil War reenactment club now. Battling for the South.
