Ojai, Southern California’s hippie hideaway, is welcoming, mostly, its newcomers. Some of its transplants, like Eric Goode, the owner of the Turtle Conservancy, have been around for years. “One of the lovely things about Ojai is it hasn’t changed a lot,” Mr. Goode said. So although younger generations might be arriving, many believe that Ojai will continue to hang on to its distinct personality.
