A Noah’s ark of wares is on display at Deyrolle, on Paris’s Left Bank. A science institute and purveyor of taxidermy since 1831, the shop boasts four rooms of mounted birds and animals. One is a fantastical phenix that a taxidermist created in tribute to Deyrolle’s reopening after a 2008 fire.
