I received this nice note yesterday from Sheila and her cat Miss Kitty…
"I feel so ashamed of myself. I was on the verge of unfollowing you today. I was getting annoyed seeing all the posts about declawing and the Paw Project. I have always been against declawing for my cats, but pro-choice for everyone else. Well today I watched The Paw Project on netflix and I honestly get why you post about it so much. I cried through the entire thing. Thank you for standing up for every cat worldwide and giving them a voice."
Thank you Sheila. I know I sometimes post photos and stories about declawing that are very hard to look at. I know I risk losing some of my followers by doing so, but I feel the most important thing for me to do is to shine light on the horrific and inhumane thing called declawing.
But too many kitties are suffering and too many kitties are unnecessarily going through this terrible thing every day, in the hands of veterinarians who took an oath to heal animals and not hurt and disable them.
My number one mission is to help end it and if that means losing followers then so be it. I know most of you, my tried and true, understand.
Thank you to Sheila for having the courage to share her feelings and for watching the Paw Project movie. She has saved many kitties by sending this note and from watching the movie. I hope you all keep spreading the word about this cause and about the Paw Project movie too.
