Words don't really cut it here because there's so much emotion held in this photo. Yesterday was my moms birthday, and these are my sisters kids sending balloons to heaven after throwing her a birthday party. Losing someone who is rooted to your soul is as painful and shitty and confusing as it gets...people who have lost loved ones know what I mean. It has taken me a long time to even begin to understand or accept this, but I think God needed her. I think that's why she had to go. He has got her up there doing something special that only she can handle, hanging out until we join her. Believing this doesn't disband the deep ache for her, and it definitely doesn't dissolve the sadness and anger when I think about losing her, but what is there left to do other than trust that there is a plan? Trust that He is taking care of her while she's watching over us... So alongside my people, that's my plan. To celebrate her like these kids did yesterday -- every day -- by living and loving hard in her honor. #always #cancersucks
