In front of an entire amphitheater of foreign archaeologists, this Bulgarian shepherd taught a hard lesson. The weakest sheep hobbled at the back of the herd, and more than four times across five minutes did the pack wait for it. So slow was the pace of the conglomerate, due to the old sheep, that the herder was forced to make a choice. In a moment of swift necessary brutality, the shepherd grabbed the sheep by its legs and, raising it high above his head, thrust it to the ground instantly ending its life.
