The Zuse Z5 weighed more than 2000 kg, was built with telephone relays instead vacuum tubes, and needed a whole room to fit in. Shown in the picture is one of its successors, the Elliot “402f”. Now guess how many of these are needed for the equal computing power of your smartphone?
