Beijing is set to become the first city in history to organize both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games. Earlier today, members of the International Olympic Committee selected the Chinese capital to host the 2022 Winter Games in a close 44-40 vote against Almaty in Kazakhastan. In 2008, Beijing hosted the Summer Games.
