A year and a half ago, I picked up my mom and sister from the airport with tears in my eyes, a smile across my face, and a sign that said simply "I Got The Part." After an hour of silent shock (because none of us could believe what was happening) we cried, we laughed, and cried again tears of immense joy and utter happiness. I called my dad who cried and laughed with us some more over the phone, and it became one of the most unforgettable moments of my life. Today, a year and a half later, a smile has permanently settled across my face, and an overwhelming feeling of gratitude has settled in my heart. Mami, Papi, y Pau, thank you...Thank you deeply, Thank you infinitely, Thank you sincerely with every inch of me. You are the reason my dream has come true.
