This is Phil's Hand.

He retired & I wanted to remember him. So I took this picture. I loved his hands. Worn, strong, dependable & kind.

Phil and I worked together. He was on my crew. Salt of the earth. He is shorter than I am, soft-spoken & indestructible ... like men from another era were. He has a moustache.
If I was to cast Zorba, Phil is my prototype.
