Warning: This is a Super-Earnest Post. Those with a sincerity allergy should stay away. Or suck it up :) I'm so grateful to be a woman, especially on #nationalwomensday; grateful to those heroes who went before us and fought for our rights, grateful for those future women who will carry the light into a better tomorrow where ALL WILL BE EQUAL, and grateful to the current, badass sisterhood-- of which I am so proud to be a member-- who are trying to make sense of this beautiful, baffling world, who refuse to allow setbacks and ignorance to stop us, who look at the damning statistics, focus on hope and then WORK TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, who keep their eyes fixed on a better, fairer horizon because they know that version of the world benefits EVERYONE. And most especially, to the women that the light hasn't yet reached, who still live in shame of their sex, who are kept from the true knowledge of their worth, who remain invisible: I see you. You are a woman, and that means you are someone.

I would like to encourage all of you here-- especially you wonderful men-dudes-- to share your thoughts why the women of the world should be cherished and respected.
