Today we introduce another great photographer, Gianluigi Guercia, better known as Gigi was born in Italy and has been living and working in Africa since 2003, first in Rwanda, where he covered the great lakes region and since 2005 he has been covering Libya, Egypt and South Africa.

Gigi is on assignment for AFP in Swaziland covering the Reed Dance ceremony and will #takeover our account today and tomorrow. The traditional Reed Dance ceremony is an annual Swazi cultural event where tens of thousands of Swazi girls travel from the various chiefdoms to the Ludzidzini Royal Village to participate in a royal dance.
