A jellyfish drifts in shallow water with the towering sand dunes of the Namib Desert as a backdrop. In recent years jellyfish populations have increased significantly in the Atlantic Ocean off Namibia's coast. A combination of the overfishing of shoaling fish like sardines and anchovies (probably important predators of juvenile jellyfish) and climate change are believed to be responsible for this ecological regime change. #namibia @ナショナルジオグラフィック @thephotosociety @natgeocreative
