I think when a friend decides to end his own life. You are sad at the loss of a life, but you are also left with an overwhelming amount of sadness for what could have been. If only you could have reached out sooner or made a phone call or just given them the reassurance that they had a friend in this world that wanted to have them around. It's so hard for me to imagine any kind of pain so great, that it is a better option to end it all. No matter how hard things are, They will always get better. Looking into the future I need to be a better friend. I need to talk on the phone (not text) once a week to the ones I care about. I need to involve myself in the bad times along with the good. Somebody once said "the best way to have a friend is to Be one". That's what I need to do. Be a better friend.
