This is Kim Davis, the county clerk in Kentucky who is illegally denying LGBT couples marriage licenses. She said, "This isn't a gay or lesbian issue. It's about heaven or hell." A gay couple, who had been together for 17 years, asked under what authority she had the right to deny them a marriage license. She replied, "under the authority of God." This isn't the first time government employees have gone against the recent Supreme Court ruling in favor of marriage equality. Today I'm grateful for social media because it allows us to band together and shine light on injustices like this.
