#OnThisDay in 1913 William “Bill” Shankly was born. After retiring from playing, the Scottish international right-half became manager of @リヴァプールFC when they were in the Second Division and rebuilt the team into a major force in English and European football. He passed away on 29 September 1981, aged 68. Tributes poured in from the world of football & Liverpool erected a seven-foot tall bronze statue of Shankly outside The Kop at Anfield.
