In honor of #SkyscraperDay, take a moment to learn more about photographer Lewis Hine. In 1930, as the official photographer for the Empire State Building, Hine documented its construction from dizzying heights. He photographed unharnessed workers balancing on steel beams or, as in “Riding the Ball High Up On Empire State,” standing on a swinging derrick hundreds of feet in the air.
