I had access to every band backstage, except MMJ, so of course I jumped at the opportunity to grab a quick shot of them before their set at #GovBall. They’ve been a top touring act for well over a decade now and this summer the outfit led by Jim James was bringing their epic live show to festivals and amphitheaters across the country (I caught them at Bonnaroo a week later). Their intense pre-show focus was apparent here as I only had a few seconds to shoot as they walked to the stage to close out the first night of the festival as Drake did his thing across the Island.""
