“Training and racing pigeons is a dwindling sport. Less than a hundred coops exist and they are mostly in east Williamsburg and Bushwick. At roughly a 400$ a month per 100 pigeons the upkeep cost isn't cheap. Betting on races and winning can obviously subsidize cost, but the amount of time it requires for upkeep demands a love for the birds.”
