There is nothing in the world that feels as good as being healthy and having personal goals. That combination creates a ripple effect that can have numerous positive outcomes. Not only that but when life kicks your ass it makes recovery time quicker and more manageable. When we stay healthy it allows our minds to process things at a faster rate and keeps the depression chemicals at bay. By the way I'm saying HEALTHY not some perfect pin up look. Body type doesn't matter it's how feel eating clean and getting into a routine work out wise that allows you to feel balanced. I love being fit and there are personal reasons I stay in solid shape mostly genetics. If something comes down the family blood line and happens to get me I'm gonna be ready for anything. Plus.. I like beating my buddies in volleyball. Ha. Personal goals - have a couple of things that you want to complete that you do for YOU and not someone in a relationship or friend circle. Stuff that makes you feel happiness. I spent a day at Children's Hospital (scroll on my timeline and check out the vids and meet my new buddy Vincent) and that gave me such a jolt of power because it's not about ego or winning it's about making people smile and feel like we are all in it together. Many kids didn't know me at all and who cares.. We connected and found plenty to be upbeat about. Finally -- don't settle. Most people I know settle. I see so many people settle for something that they know is beneath them. It doesn't mean you don't sometimes have to do things out of your comfort zone but you never have to stay there. Goals. Something beyond your current eye line. Go get it. Make a plan and work it. Today is the first day of the rest of your life.
