To the sun we are hot headed,
To the moon we are dark as night
Logic fights the Faith that is dreaded
While to God we only fight
Up soars the sky
Surrounding and holding us
Down fall our ice caps
Floundering and scolding us

Up in the universe
stars are born
Down on the earth
hearts are broken and torn
By dreams that just stopped
And became stupid fantasies
Stopped in their tracks
by taxes and doctors' fees

But if we remember that gleam
And forget what's at stake
We can live all the dreams
That kept us awake

See, when Space looks at people
We're a soon-dying bore
But when people look at space
We see skies to explore

Though the sky sees us smaller
we live big and with pride
Proving life's truly bigger
when you're on the inside
