クスコ近郊のインカの遺跡、標高3500mのモライで。農業の実験場だったらしいのだが、この段々畑、その段によって違う気候が再現されていて、色々なジャガイモ、オユコ、オッカ（←芋の種類）を研究されていたそう。（ペルーには5000種類もの芋があるって。）一番上の段と下の段では15度も温度が違うんだとか！凄すぎる！

At an Inca ruin called Moray, 3500m (31mi) above sea level. This was a agricultural experiment station, and on each terrace, different climate was recreated. They studied the crops here, especially potatoes. (There are more than 5000 kinds of potatoes in Peru.) The temperature difference between the lowest and the highest terraces is 15 °C (27 °F)!! Incredible!!
