This is a pic from 2013, a day I'll never forget. On this day, 9/21/13 we almost lost Venus from something totally preventable and we want to share her story with you in the hopes that it will spread awareness and save lives. When this post was shared in 2013 that's exactly what happened. We got a lot of comments and inbox messages that due to having read the info in the post about Venus's story, people were able to recognize the signs that something was wrong with their pet & in turn save their pet's life. It's too long to post here so I've put the link to her FB page in the bio. All posts are public so I don't think you need to have a Fb account to be able to read the posts. Please read and share this info. This isn't about likes or shares, it's about awareness and saving lives and it works! This day brings back one of the scariest & saddest days of my life not knowing for the first 48 hours if she would pull through but also makes me so very grateful that she was able to be saved and is still here with us today. Thanks everyone! XOXO ???*****added info: A lot of people who didn't go to or can't go to Facebook are asking what happened and I guess I left that out. The story is detailed in Facebook but the short short version is she suffered a complete urinary blockage which is almost unheard of in females. Both males and females get urinary tract infections but usually only males get blocked. She had to be this way for 4 days with a catheter and IV with weeks of extra meds and complications but made a full recovery. Thanks for asking and thanks to all who have shared your stories, advice, kind words, etc. What you shared may save someone's pet's life. ??
