As humans and elephants are increasingly forced to share space, many elephant calves find themselves trapped at the bottom of village wells. The @DSWT team has rescued many well victims, including this little guy, Ngilai, who fell down a well at just 3 weeks old. Injured, traumatized, and hungry, tiny Ngilai was successfully rescued after 3 miserable days and taken to the DSWT orphanage in Nairobi. Ngilai slowly gained his strength back and found his place in the Nursery with his elephant friends and loving keepers.
