Rosario Dawson is an acclaimed actor hailing from New York City. She made her debut on Sesame Street playing a small role, but her breakthrough came when she was discovered by photographers Larry Clark and director Harmony Korine in their seminal 1995 film Kids. She went on to star in major blockbusters like Rent, Clerks II, and Sin City. In addition to acting in film, she has played Julia in Shakespeare’s Two Gentlemen of Verona and contributed to Outkast and Prince in their musical efforts. While she's played the role of civil rights icon Dolores Huerta in the film César Chávez, she is a real life champion for justice. Not only has Rosario Dawson supported causes and organizations like Global Cool, Oxfam, Amnesty International, PFLAG, and Voto Latino, but she has been a key supporter of gender justice with her work through Lower Eastside Girls Club, Vagina Monologues, and V-Day.
