It is almost 7am here in Frankfurt, Germany. I'm at the airport waiting for my flight to Ethiopia, where I will meet my friend and colleague @jtkerby to begin photographing Gelada monkeys on assignment for National Geographic Magazine. It is my first assignment as a photographer with @ナショナルジオグラフィック and its @jtkerby first assignment as well. Fair to say we are both very excited and very nervous , especially since we're following in the footsteps of so many wonderful photographers before us who have paved the way, inspired so many, and shared the world with millions. Truly humbled. We're going to an amazing place called Guassa, a plateau tucked away in the Ethiopian highlands. Follow me @tbfrost For more #onassignment photos from the field in the coming weeks.
