Ho Ching and I were at the opening of the Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH) and Jurong Community Hospital (JCH) yesterday. They will provide much needed hospital beds, and help us care for our rapidly aging population.
The two hospitals are designed around the needs of the patient. Much thought has been put into their design. Every patient has a window view. There is lots of natural light and greenery to help with recuperation. By co-locating the hospitals side by side, patients can move from one to the another conveniently via covered linkways. They will also receive quality care and treatment from the same medical and nursing team.

We have a very good healthcare system, and will continue to improve it.
