One of my favorite Parisian excursions this season was to the Photography Foundation to see the Lanvin show. It featured unfinished dresses (like this beautiful black swan of a dress!)... I learned that in the creation phase, Alber uses different color thread (like the red you see above) for each stage of a fitting. Up close, this dress was punctuated with red, blue, yellow, and white thread!
