We always praised Kirby for being the healthy one that hasn't cost us thousands of dollars... until now! Poor baby has a blockage in his bladder and has been throwing up since last night and wouldn't eat or drink anything this morning. I took him in to the vet this afternoon and they ran blood tests and X-rays and said his bladder was enlarged and as "hard as a rubber ball". They admitted him and he now has an IV and a catheter and will be at the hospital for 2-3 days. It is serious, but not so serious that he shouldn't be just fine with a new diet (that's 3 cats on different diets!!). I know he has been miserable so please keep him in your thoughts so he will heal quickly. ? Also, check out that cat eye chart in the background! Silly. For anyone who wonders, Kirby has likely always had this issue but it has been brought on by stress from us working on our basement. I've been told that this is most likely the first of many incidents in the future ?
