Yo, this is some next level jawn right here: @pandorafounder #TimWestergren gives me a tour of @PANDORA & its genius #MusicGenomeProject which in my head is what #JOSHUA was to #WarGames the movie. I always wondered how does #Pandora determine the songs that fit into a category. I thought it was random like "well if you dig Lou Rawls then you gonna dig Drake" (I got jokes) but man this room are full of musicians that test music algorithms and break EVERY FRIGGIN SONG down to its last compound. I mean I thought I was thorough making my DJ sets on BPM/Key/genre...dude EVERY song is analyzed 4 times over with the most minuscule categories like: key/BPM/yelling in vocals/solos/notes in solos chromatic/harmonica on song?/scratching on song?/choir on song?/Piano on song?/ loud drums?/duet?/drum machines?/song over 7 mins?/are animals mentioned in the second verse/Pharrell's trademark "whooo woooo" included?/if so is the Neptunes Clavinet included/when lead singer yells for "horns!" do synths play instead?----I mean these are the more comprehensible categories---way way deeper than "thumbs up/thumbs down" goes into these playlists. #ToBeContinued....
