You know I live in Indonesia right .. I live on the tropical island of Bali, Indonesia has over 17,000 islands and two of them right now are on fire. Borneo and Sumatra.The fires are from the ground, and created by humans, palm oil companies, that burn the forests to plant palm oil trees and make chocolate bars and cosmetics. They are hard to extinguish and the people fighting those fires have really old fire trucks that hardly work, and they are using their own money to keep putting fuel into them to get to the forest that is burning up. Not only that people are dying, animals are dying and the indications are that its going to get worse and if the wind changes.. well say goodbye to the bright blue sky in Bali..
Even in Europe the effects will be felt, the earth is a closed atmosphere, once that haze is in the air it stays in the air.. Some of my classmates just came back from Borneo and the pictures they showed me look like a sci-fi film, seriously mid day and everything is like night.. I remember watching their snapchats and realizing the shocking haze in the sky. What is happening is terrible.
