Disclaimer: this is going to be a bit of a novel ? But this really is the highlight of my first year as a triathlete! And that, my friends, brings this tri-season to a close ? I never imagined this could happen, but it did! ? Overall Champion in my Age Group for the Tri United series!!! ?? Months of preparation and having to even stretch out my training a little longer than I had planned, I was so relieved to bring it to a close and resume my 1hr sessions back at the gym ? After doing my first half IM in May, I did not plan on doing another half IM distance months after! It's no joke training for a long distance race yo! Especially when you weren't born a natural long distance athlete ? thank you @alpha_tri for making me work hard for it, the @wucrew for the push, @kishfillet (u know why! ?), #TeamP @nessantiago @hannah_olives for "making damay" and putting the fun in training (coz we'd laugh at ourselves and how we've even reached this point ? then pig out after ??), @trekbikesph for my boy Trooper ?, my mum who's always felt like I was obsessed with exercise (sorry mum, I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't pass out during the race), my family who always believed in my capacity, and my love @drewarellano for sharing the endorphins, being so encouraging and being such an inspiration ❤️ those power hugs after every draining workout meant everything! ❤️ Congratulations to all the AG winners especially to my girl @nessantiago and hubstacle @drewarellano for taking home 3rd place Overall in their AG categories ? we did it, neng!!! ?? my love @drewarellano, you continue to make me so proud! ❤️ Lord, thank you for always pulling me thru every training session and race even when my head and heart feel like giving up.
