If you try to move from Point A to Point B and something gets in your way, you may have to change path and find another way. The body works in a similar manner. "If a movement pattern is compromised, the body will change paths and create movement compensations" says NYC sports #chiropractor, Dr. Paul Salinas @drpsalinas. In today's video we demonstrate how my back pain is associated with the weakness in my ankle and tightness in my hip. When I bend backwards, you can see most of the movement happening at my lower back. Also when I rotate you my body, its apparent that I don't move symmetrically. I also learned that many of movement compensations can go unnoticed and are usually painless at first. It's when you try to push through these issues that you may discover an injury.
