Getting Ready to Head Home. Somewhere over the Atlantic ocean is when I generally re-set the time hand from local time to home time. The hour hand can be independently set in one-hour increments, forwards or backwards with the date automatically adjusting as well. The chronograph is a very popular complication but for frequent fliers the GMT complication is much more useful, I think. That plus Spring Drive accuracy and a 72 hour power reserve makes the GS GMT an almost ideal travel watch and unlike many more technical-looking GMT watches it's versatile enough for meetings and business-formal events, as well as keeping a jet-lagged brain oriented with respect to time and location.
