O Rio Doce virou o Rio Morto. E, pra ele voltar a viver, talvez leve alguns anos. Mas milhares de pessoas não podem esperar isso. Como o nível de contaminação por metais pesados é grande, nenhuma das nossas tecnologias poderiam ser implementadas. Por isso, a gente resolveu criar estações de água potável: vários filtros colocados em grandes tanques para garantir que a água dos caminhões-pipa e de outros poços fique purificada. Estamos implementando essas estações em lugares estratégicos (escolas, igrejas) ao redor de Governador Valadares e Colatina. The Doce River has turned into a dead river and to live again, it’ll take some years. But the millions of people affected by this disaster can’t wait. With the high level of heavy metal contamination in the river’s waters, none of our technology can be used. In response, we’ve created clean water depots in strategic hubs (churches, schools) around the city of Governador Valadares and Colatina. These water stations consist of several bio filters connected to huge tanks and ensure that the water from water trucks and wells are clean.
