When I read the news especially lately or experience my own humanity and frailty of heart in the menial day to day life challenges, if I just stop for a few minutes and look around me, the noise swiftly dissipates. The fact that I'm not hungry or hiding in a cave or abandoned building (or worse) to survive, that I have the luxury of choosing what I like to eat, drink and wear. That I still have a world of hope left inside of me to dream dreams. That I have good health and that my son and other family members do too. That this little miracle before me is in my care and that I have the privilege to be his mama. That there are people in my life who truly love me just as I am. That I have loyal friends who will talk to me to my face and never behind my back. That I have easy access to clean water and modern plumbing and amenities. That I can post this and connect with all of you here daily. And that that is just a few things of a list that could never tire of all the gifts around me and before me that I could never pay enough thanks for. ?
