Behind some scene somewhere. @erica_shay at home in Uganda. Erica is a warrior...fiercely intelligent and deeply committed, working in ex-combatant and former child soldier reintegration. Trauma care, family tracking and home reunions, and vocational training are small pieces of the puzzle that help mitigate recidivism and further cycles of violence on personal and national levels. Without reintegration, often the only recourse for those who have escaped conflict is trade one uniform for another as combat and conflict are their only transferable skill set. I'll be working with her and her amazing partner @ocittid looking how the process works, where it fails, and how to bring awareness to a deeply underfunded piece of the conflict puzzle.
